Allied Legal Funding: Information for Plaintiffs
Allied Legal Funding
will only be repaid if a Plaintiff wins his or her case. If a Plaintiff
does not receive an award or settlement, Plaintiff
does not owe Allied Legal Funding any payment.
What is legal funding?
Legal funding, also known as lawsuit funding, is a way for plaintiffs with
an immediate financial needs to receive cash today on their lawsuit. Legal funding
is non-recourse, so if you do not win your lawsuit, you do not repay Allied
Legal Funding.
Does legal funding require a credit check?
No. Legal funding is limited to your lawsuit and a personal credit check
is not required.
How long does it take to receive legal funding?
We can provide an answer within 48 hours of receiving your case information.

To make a proper decision about your case it is important that we receive
the right information. This includes:
How does legal funding work?
Once your application is received, Allied Legal Funding will contact your
attorney's office for more information about your case (accident report, medicals,
complaint, etc.). This case information lets us make a decision as to how much
funding we are able to offer.
If I don't win my lawsuit, do I still owe Allied Legal Funding any money?
No. Plaintiffs only repay Allied Legal Funding if the lawsuit results in
a verdict award or settlement. If a plaintiff loses the case, Allied Legal
Funding is
not owed anything.
How much does legal funding cost?
Allied Legal Funding offers competitive rates between 2% and 4% per
month, depending on the case.
Is lawsuit funding a loan?
No. There are several important differences between lawsuit funding and
a loan. First, if you do receive any money from your lawsuit, there is
no obligation to repay Allied Legal Funding. In addition, unlike a loan
or a credit card, there are no monthly or periodic payments made for legal
funding. The total amount is only repaid if you win your case.
Once my application is received, how soon can I receive funds from Allied
Legal Funding?
Allied Legal Funding can provide a decision within 48 hours
of receiving
information
about
your
case.
How do I receive funds from Allied Legal Funding?
A check will be sent to you via overnight mail.
My case has already settled, but my attorney said it could take three to
six months for me to receive a check. Am I still eligible for legal funding?
Yes. This is known as "post-settlement" legal funding. If your
case has settled, you may be eligible for post-settlement legal funding.
Simply have your attorney provide us with a copy of the settlement agreement
or court order.
